Grading of Cashew Nuts

Cashew Kernels are usually called in industries are Wholes, Splits, etc.

So, what is the meaning of W180, W210, W240, W320, W450, Split, JH, LWP, SWP, and BB?

The W represents 'Wholes'

The S represents 'Splits'

Then the numbers 180, 210, 240 represent the number of cashews per pound in weight.

Ex: W240 means 240 cashew kernels per pound.

(Note: 1 pound is equal to 0.45kg)

Split Cashews

Splits are represented half of the wholes.

Split cashew refers to cashew kernels that have been split from their whole form. In this case, they do not change any properties taste, or flavor when split.
